Hurricane Irma Update

Statement from Bamboo & Sky Beach St. Maarten

Hurricane Irma dealt a heavy blow to our lovely Island on September 7, 2017 when the eye of Hurricane Irma passed directly over us with 185 mph wind.
Bamboo and Sky Beach sustained significant physical damage. Fortunately our staff is accounted for and safe. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Bamboo and Sky Beach will be closed until further notice. We look forward to rebuilding quickly and will update you as we know more. While we can rebuild and plan to rebuild, we are located in a hotel complex and The Sonesta Maho Resort sustained major damage. We are awaiting the hotel’s decision regarding rebuilding the hotel before commencing our own rebirth.

We sincerely thank you for years of loyal patronage. This truly pains us to write but the tragic reality is that 95% of the structure in St Maarten have been damaged.

Again, we thank you for years and years of loyal patronage and our staff gives thanks for those who have donated to their cause as they have really been hard hit.
